Norway's oldest and
largest music publisher

Norsk Musikkforlag is a leading player in music publishing in Norway. We represent and promote a diverse portfolio of Norwegian composers, lyricists, and arrangers. Through notebutikken.no, we offer a wide selection of sheet music, textbooks, scores, and digital downloads for a variety of instruments and musical genres.

In addition to being a distribution channel for music, we also serve as a bridge between creators and users of music. We actively work to promote music for various media and entertainment projects, such as film, TV, advertising, and games, both nationally and internationally. Through our licensing services, we offer rights for the performance and use of music in various contexts, from concerts and performances to theater productions and film projects. We work closely with musicians, ensembles, choirs, schools, and other music enthusiasts to ensure that our repertoire meets diverse needs and interests.

The Store
Norsk Musikkforlag's sheet music store traces its roots back to 1843, initially as Warmuth, and in 1909 as Norsk Musikforlag. The store quickly became a gathering place for music and culture enthusiasts, attracting visits from both prominent international figures and hobby musicians. The iconic store on Karl Johans gate was known for its knowledgeable staff and lines that stretched onto the sidewalk before Christmas. For many, the store on Karl Johans gate became a place to drop by for a chat with staff who were passionately devoted to music.

You can now find us at Konowsgate 67B, Oslo, where we continue to offer a wide selection of sheet music, textbooks, and professional literature. Please visit us for assistance and guidance in the world of music, from sheet music to composers and publishers. You are most welcome!
